A Porsche Experience!

It was a wild ride on the track at the Porsche Experience Center | Los Angeles, one of only two such places in the nation, where some of our donors and their guests came to celebrate Racing to End Alzheimer’s. The featured event was a demonstration ride in a brand new all-electric Taycan, which accelerates from 0 to 60 in an astonishing 2.6 seconds. The Taycans were driven by professional instructors who barreled around the 53-acre test track at high speed, creating a roller-coaster of an experience for the car’s three passengers.

In addition to that exhilarating ride, guests enjoyed a special purple cocktail (the “Le Mans 75”) and a wonderful gourmet dinner at the Center’s acclaimed Restaurant 917.

A new generation of social influencers and guests joined long-standing contributors, adding more names to both our race car and our new 718 Spyder tribute car — the one Phil is driving across the country over the summer on our third annual awareness expedition — On the Road Again III: The National Tour for the Cure. Like our No. 22 race car,  the tribute car is also covered with the names of well over 100 Alzheimer’s sufferers — people who are loved, honored and cared for by our generous supporters.

You may wonder if this party was funded by your donations. Nope.

Some guests paid their own way. Others were hosted. And, as always, all costs were borne by Legistics, Inc. in support of the cause. 100% of our donations go toward care for families with a member suffering from dementia, and research to find a cure for this terrible disease. And we will. Brilliant work is being done by our beneficiaries, and each day they’re learning more about Alzheimer’s and opening pathways toward prevention.
