Joel Freeman

Joel Freeman worked in filmmaking, and during his long and productive life, he was involved in over 100 movies, first as an assistant director, and ultimately as a producer and a studio executive.

Born in Newark, NJ, he came to California as a young man, enlisted in the Army Air Corps, and made training films with the Motion Picture Unit, before starting his career in film.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a mentor to dozens of young people coming up in the industry.
