Ignas Janavicius

Ignas Peter Janavicius emigrated from Lithuania after World War II and settled in Cleveland, Ohio where he and his wife would raise their family. While Ignas may have spent his entire career as a mechanical engineer, his passion was automobiles – especially foreign models like Citroens and Mercedes.  And he handed down his love of cars to his son, Paul.

Ignas battled Alzheimer’s for a long 10 years before passing away, When his son heard about what the Racing to End Alzheimer’s team was doing, he thought it would be a touching tribute to his dad to have his name on the #80 BMW.
